Sirens with Mounting BracketsThe iLAS/School Lockdown weatherproof siren design is based on the sirens we've supplied to Australian emergency services groups for many years. They are highly reliable, very loud and designed specifically to operate in a frequency range that can be heard above even high levels of ambient (background) noise (ie they are not a PA or voice-only style speaker, but a purpose-designed emergency tone broadcast siren). Designed for external mounting, they come with a J-Bar wall-mount bracket that is anodised to ensure extended outdoor durability. Siren Horns are supplied in sets of 2 per Siren Control Station. The standard iLAS alert tones (siren sounds) are supplemented with a standard set of voice-overs that reiterate what a specific tone is warning of (eg "This is a Lockdown Alert. Go to your designated Safe Zone"). This is a new feature made standard in May 2010. Units can, however, be ordered WITHOUT voice-overs or with CUSTOM voice-overs (see OPTIONS below) |
Siren Control StationsSirens are driven by a siren tone generator and amplifier that is fitted with a back-up battery and charger (240VAC standard, or optional solar) and a wireless repeater. All components of this Siren Control Station are fitted into a weatherproof wall-mountable enclosure. Each Control Station drives 2 sirens (offers redundancy in the unlikely event of one siren failing). The Stations are supplied with an external antenna (required to provide wirless network connection) and a 240VAC power adapter (to connect to a 240VAC power point to charge the back-up battery). Your contracted installer (whether a hanyperson or electrician) need only supply mounting brackets and/or screws.

Wireless Handheld Remote ControlsEach system sold is supplied with 4 remotes as standard: 3 remotes for authorised users, and 1 Master which is used to program additional or replacement remotes). Additional remotes can be purchased as required, depending on site specific issues such as location of authorised users, number of buildings in a campus, etc. Remotes feature a feedback LED indicator that confirms that a user is within radio range of the iLAS wireless network. Remotes are colour coded for simple operation and are small enough to be carried in your pocket.

Laminated A4 Wall Advisory PostersFor Educational Institution applications only, these wall posters are designed to familiarise personnel with the meaning of siren tones and the procedures to be followed. Supplied in packs of 10, they provide space to list the Safety Officer in charge of the emergency procedures, as well as Safe Zones and Emergency Evacuation Points to be used. Ideal for school classrooms, cafeteria, etc. Posters are wall-mounted using double sided tape (not supplied). To a larger image of the wall advisory poster, click here.

Options
|
Customised Voice-OversYour system can be tailored (at an additional charge) to include customised voice-over messages for specific sites (eg to advise of a specific Muster Point to be used in an evacuation). In applications where site training ensures familiarity with siren sounds, voice over messages may not be required. We can (as an option) also supply your system with tone-only siren sounds (ie no voice-over messages). However, in any campus site with constantly changing personnel, or with personnel who may only be occassional visitors to the site (such as a university, TAFE or warehouse), voice over messages help ensure personnel understand the meaning of the siren tones. |
Solar Charging SystemsFor locations where 240VAC power is not readily available (such as out-buildings or playing fields), the solar power option is available to charge the Siren Control Station's batteries. Your installation contractor or site handyperson can easily mount the solar panel and connect to the Siren Control Station. A weatherprrof power cable is fed from the panel to the Siren Base Station as per installation of a standard mains (240VAC) powered unit. |
